Why can't we directly read the native formats of professional CAD software models?
A: 3D/BIM models created by specialized CAD software such as Revit, Bentley, Tekla, and SolidWorks use proprietary or confidential file formats. Without using their official APIs, it is impossible to guarantee complete and lossless extraction of both geometric data and other associated information from these models. Therefore, we have developed dedicated export plugins using these software vendors’ official APIs. These plugins accurately extract and export the 3D/BIM models and their data into GLZIP files, which can then be loaded by our 3D Model&Data Asst. product to faithfully reconstruct the original model data.
