Which CAD and 3D model formats can I upload directly?
You can directly upload and open standard formats such as IFC, FBX, Sketchup (SKP), STEP, STL, DXF, IGES, DAE, and various GIS/point cloud formats (including OSGB, SHP, GeoJSON, LAZ/LAS, PLY, TXT, PCD, and E57) without installing any additional plugins.
Why do some formats like Revit and Solidworks require a plugin?
Proprietary BIM and CAD formats (such as Revit, Bentley, Tekla, Navisworks, Inventor, and Solidworks) contain complex parametric data. Downloading and using our dedicated plugins allows you to export these files into a lightweight, optimized GLZIP format for seamless web viewing.
How do I process PDMS and SP3D models?
PDMS (Rvm+Att) and SP3D (Vue+Xml) models should first be opened using Navisworks Manage (version 2022 and above for SP3D). You can then use the Navisworks plugin to export the data to GLZIP format before uploading.
Is AutoCAD (.dwg) format supported?
Support for AutoCAD (versions 2019-2024, .dwg) is currently under development. The corresponding export plugin will be released soon.
What files are required for uploading GIS datasets like SHP?
To successfully display Shapefiles (SHP), you must upload the complete set of component files together, which includes the SHP master file, SHX index file, DBF attribute file, and PRJ spatial reference file.
